Our Mission

Founded in 2012, the Oswego Junior Woman’s Club is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting women, children, and families in the Oswego and surrounding communities through volunteer services and philanthropy.

We fulfill our mission in a number of ways. Here are some of our highlights:

We are part of GFWC District 11, which includes Joliet Juniorette Club, the Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club, the Plainfield Juniorette Club, the Homer Glen Junior Woman’s Club, the Homer Glen Juniorettes, and the Elgin Junior Woman’s Club.

Kristen Stott

President

Kristen is the current president of the Oswego Junior Women’s Club. She has also served as vice president, corresponding secretary and Juniorettes advisor since joining the club in 2018 as a way to get more involved in the community and as a way to meet new people. Kristen and her partner Robert moved to Oswego in 2008 and have raised their children here. When she is not spending time with family and friends, Kristen works as a dental hygienist in Joliet. She loves helping her patients get healthy and stay healthy through treatment and education. She also enjoys golfing and watching baseball.

Cassie Paruolo

Vice President

Cassie is currently serving as the 2024-2025 Vice President of Oswego Junior Woman’s Club. She joined the club in 2018 and her company, Air Dynamics Heating & Cooling has been a consistent Executive Sponsor of OJWC’s signature Red Carpet event. Cassie is an Oswego native, where she lives with her husband, Paul. She is a Registered Nurse, currently working at Edward Hospital.

Angie Hibben

Treasurer

Angie is the Treasurer for the Oswego Junior Woman’s Club.  She is President/CEO of the Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce and is currently also serving on the Kendall County Fair board, the Oswego Senior Center Capital Campaign committee and is active with many of the local non for profits in and around the community.  Angie and Todd have lived in Oswego since 1986 and has served as PTA/Home & School President as her children were growing up.  Angie & Todd have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.  AJ Creations is Angie’s relaxation and is a thriving hobby-turned business which includes hand crafted crochet items & jewelry.  I so enjoy receiving pictures from clients of them or their children enjoying the items I have created!  Angie grew up in a small town in northwestern IL and loves that Oswego has that community feel and that is also what drew her to OJWC.  “Being in OJWC allows me to give back to the community that I love living in and being a part of this amazing organization.”

Cori Veverka

Recording Secretary

Cori is currently serving as the 2024-25 Recording Secretary, after joining the club in 2023. Cori works for the Oswegoland Park District where she loves creating opportunities for a healthy community through events and recreation programming. She is thrilled to bring her volunteer experience as a member of the board for the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association’s Recreation Section to this position. An Oswego native, Cori joined OJWC to connect with other like minded women who are passionate about serving their community. She lives in Yorkville with her rescue dog Rio.

Rachael Henderson

Corresponding Secretary

Rachael is currently serving as the 2024-2025 Corresponding Secretary. She joined the club in 2019 as a way to be more involved in the community and meet new people! While working for Cars.com as a Website Compliance Analyst she is also an advisor for the Oswego Juniorettes and maintains the OJWC website. Rachael and her husband Steven are Oswego natives and together they have a 2 year old daughter Hazel!

Carrie Niesman

Club Advisor

Carrie is currently serving as the 2024-2025 Club Advisor of the Oswego Junior Woman’s Club. She joined the club in 2012 and has previously held several positions on the Executive Board. Carrie has lived in the Oswego area for over 45 years, residing with her husband Brian, and enjoys spending time with her boys, Steven (31) Michael (28), Jake (26) Joey (22), and Max (19) and her granddaughter Hazel (2) Carrie works at Old Second National and is currently Vice President Regional Manager for 10 branch locations. She has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Oswego Chamber of Commerce as well as Chair for the Ambassador Committee for the Oswego Chamber. Carrie is currently serving on the Board of Commissioners for the Oswego Police Department and Casa Kendall Co. “I enjoy being involved in the community where I live and the many business relationships I have made. The main reason I joined OJWC is to be able to do something that I am passionate about through volunteering and giving back as much as I can to the community. I am very thankful to have met a diverse group of women that share that same passion and are looking to help do “our part” to give back where we can. I have met some amazing women in my 10 years in the club, and I am very excited to continue to be active in OJWC this year, and I am equally excited to see what positive impact our club can bring to our community.”
